Themed social evening at MSSC on Tuesday 20th November 8.00 p.m. - 10.30 p.m.
Come along and give goalball a try or just join us for a drink and a chat.
What is Goalball?
- a 3 a-side game designed specifically for partially sighted and blind people
- all players must wear eyeshades, meaning anyone of any sight can play
- the ball has bells in so players can hear the ball
- the indoor court has tactile markings to help orientate players
- players aim to score a goal by throwing the ball along the floor and use their bodies to defend their own goal.

Charles Bonnet Syndrome
London Vision are looking for someone to write a Blog on their experiences of CBS. LV are publishing regular Blogs from blind and partially sighted people on their experiences of living with sight loss.
Would you like to write about your experience, make people feel that they aren't alone and also help raise public awareness. Deadline for the Blog is the 13th November - anything from 400 - 800 words!

Tate Britain Audio Description Tours
Tate Britain are hosting audio description tours in November and December 2018.
Please meet at the Manton Studion from 10.30 a.m. for tea, coffe and cake before the start of the exhibition at 11.00a.m. Tours last until aout 12.15 p.m.
The recommended drop off point for taxis is Tate Britain, Atterbury Street, SW1P 4RQ.
No booking required for the audio description tours.

The Turner Prize 2018
Enjoy a description of the entries for this year's Turner Prize. All four artists nominaed have chosen to submit video works so the exhibition layout is of a large lounge space with sofas from which doors lead into four separate dark screening rooms. Visitor assistants and volunteers will be available to assist and support if required. Internships For You
After a very successful Student Network launch event in October we are very pleased to inform you of our next event "Internships For You".
We will be collaborating with Blind in Business and Lenonard Cheshire to deliver this event, both of whom will be telling you about how they support blind and partially sighted students into valuable and accessible internships and more importantly, how they can support you!
Laura from Leonard Cheshire will be talking to you about their 'Change 100 Programme', an internship programme that provides disabled students and graduates an opportunity to work in an organisation relevant to their career choice for 100 days, with them providing their support throughout.
James from Blind in Business will be speaking about the many different internship programmes they support blind and partially sighted students in to and what opportunities are currently available.
