Farewell to Frank Smith
Frank has been volunteering for Sutton Vision for over 30 years. For a number of years he would visit clients on Christmas morning who were alone for the day. He has been a Trustee, supported our social groups and activities and bought much pleasure, brightness and great friendship to many clients for many years by calling them every Wednesday morning for a chat. Conversations have been lively, sometimes serious but always greatly appreciated by those he spoke to. Frank has great understanding of sight loss being VI himself.
Sadly today has been Frank's last day at SV, he is leaving Sutton to live closer to his family. Everyone here at Sutton Vision would like to thank him for his continued support, kindness and above all, friendship. We will keep in touch with him and will miss him very much.

Carshalton Boys Sports College
Thank you to some Y8 students for inviting us to speak to them about sight loss. It was a good and interesting afternoon. The students participated in sighted guiding, demonstration of smart devices and activities using various resources. They learnt about various eye conditions and tried the simi specs to try to understand a little of what it is like living with sight loss.
They showed a great deal of interest and demonstrated good knowledge and asked very good questions.
Good luck to them as they participate in a competition to raise money for Sutton Vision.
