Social Groups

At Sutton Vision we are aware that people like to spend time together, maybe a shared interest group like music, news or poetry or maybe a couple of hours catching up over a cup of tea or coffee.  Supported by our volunteers we are able to offer such opportunities to like-minded people.  These groups are held in our Resource Centre.

Within the community you can join The Hello group at the Welcome Café at Christchurch with St Philip in Ruskin Drive, Worcester Park.

Sutton Macular Group meets on the 2nd Monday of each month; the Friendly Club meets alternate Wednesdays.

The VI Leisure Group (VILG) offer a number of varied activities. Their book club meet at Waterstones in Sutton on the 4th Monday of each month from 10.30 a.m.; they get together at The Prince of Wales in Cheam for lunch on the 3rd Tuesday each month at 12.00 noon;  The Hope Pub Carshalton on the 1st Monday of each month at 7.00 p.m.  You can always join them for a coffee morning in the Garden Café at Wallington Library on the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 10.30 a.m. or at Waterstones in Sutton on the 1st Friday of each month from 10.30 a.m.

For full details on any of the VI Leisure Group activities please contact Sue Christie on 07891 783291. (The VILG organises its own programme and acts as the point of contact for participants. Although Sutton Vision supports and encourages VILG and their activities, members should be aware that any events organised directly by the VILG are independent of Sutton Vision and are the responsibility of VILG only).
